Programme Outline
Our Level 2 Health and Safety course have been developed to give you a better understanding of health and safety in the workplace. We will discuss potential hazards that you may face, how to assess potential risks and the best way to deal with hazards. If you want to make sure that your employees are up to scratch with the latest health and safety procedures, this is the perfect course for you.
Aims
To increase the student’s understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace, therefore, reducing the risk of injury. 
Objectives
Once you have successfully completed this Health and Safety course, you will be able to:
- Describe your responsibility for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Explain how risk assessments contribute to health and safety
- Identify and control the risks of common workplace hazards
- Respond to incidents and accidents in the workplace in line with company procedures
Who is the programme for?
Health and safety is not just the responsibility of the manager, but everyone in the workplace. This means that not only do employers have to provide a safe place to work, but individuals need to take responsibility for health and safety. This course will give you the adequate knowledge to keep yourself and others around you safe at work. This course is accredited by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). The HABC Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace has been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The regulators are Ofqual in England, DCELLS in Wales and CCEA in Northern Ireland. It is supported by Proskills, the Sector Skills Council for the process and manufacturing sector.
