*New Course* Students First Aid
Our new students first aid course teaches first aid to students at schools or clubs, for both children and teenagers over the age of 8 as part of a class. This means students will be able to gain practical experience practicing first aid techniques as they are in a smaller group, unlike our First Aid and Fire Safety Presentations in Assembly where students have an overview of first aid presented to them as part of a large group.
The students first aid course is intended to be run as a class of up to 30 and can be made to be as long as required. It can be run for an hour or as long as an entire day and will cover basic more common techniques such as CPR and the recovery position first, going on to speak about choking, burns, fractures and more depending on what is required. The course can also cover fire safety, including exiting buildings safely, fire extinguishers and more. During the talk our instructors will ensure young people know what to do if an emergency situation arises including contact 999 and what to expect. Also if you would like to cover specific topics such as anaphylaxis in more depth as one of your students has an allergic condition, this can be arranged.
This course can be run at any time to provide students with an awareness of first aid, and can be included as part of a Personal, Social and Health Education class or at the beginning or end of term. The course can also be run at clubs such as Scouts or Brownies as long as their is a suitable learning environment. Our experienced trainers make what can be a serious topic fun, involving all students in the learning process and allowing time for questions when required. With time for practical experience performing techniques such as CPR and the recovery position students will gain confidence and retain information for when an emergency situation does arise.
The price of the course is completely dependant on how long you wish the course to run for so please contact us on 01772 433080, or email us at email@example.com for a quote specifying your needs. For more information on the course please visit our Students First Aid course page.
